Hi, Sister Jewkes. I don't know you, but I recently saw a facebook tribute to you from an old friend, Lisa Dutton. She mentioned that you are deaf, you were Miss BYU? (is that really a thing?) and that you have a bunch of kids. I don't want to bother you if you are too busy, but I wondered if you would have time to send my sister an email. She is a highschool sophomore and is also deaf. She wonders a lot about the decision to try to attend BYU and also struggles some with purpose and identity as a deaf young woman. She has a strong spirit and is very involved in athletics at her school and has many friends. She is really drawn to success stories of other deaf people.
Her name is: Cassidy Flake
Her email is: cflake11@gmail.com
Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Sarah Flake Malone
